Story about smudge
There weren’t many clear nights this year, in the area where I live .
But whenever the universe allowed to be observed, I was always with the camera on a hill or in the shade of a garden. It was the same on April 8. I aimed the lens at the constellation Auriga, adjusted the parallactic mount, and began shooting. Unfortunately, the area with the then-flying comet was already hidden behind the roof of the house. But as a true enthusiast, I knew that I would still be staring at images of an incredibly beautiful universe anyway. I took pictures for about an hour before I turned the lens to another area.
While checking one of the images at maximum magnification, I noticed tiny elongated smudge between thousands of stars.
1.You would definitely not notice anything in the first photo. But I knew I saw something during the control.
2.Yes here it is … and it’s on everyone with the sixty shots. It’s bright, so it’s not dirt on the sensor.I marked the area with lightening.
3.Then I merged all the images using the Siril program (all light, dark, flat and bias images) and I made its negative for better visibility of the area. And yes, every black dot is a star 🙂
4.The last result is a detail. According to available databases of satellites, nothing flew by at the time in the area. We just agreed that it could be a reflection of the photovoltaic cells of the object, which does not figure in the databases.
But a naive dreamer like me can think anything …. :). I’m just Fool on the hill. The same one the Beatles wrote a song about… about me…
Fool on the hill /Beatles
Day after day,
Alone on a hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he’s just a fool,
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning ’round.
Well on the way,
Head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him,
or the sound he appears to make,
and he never seems to notice,
But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning ’round.
And he never listens to them,
He knows that they’re the fools
They don’t like him,
The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning ’round.
Round and round and round
Damned, it was strong … in the morning, such a story …. such photos let us know how small and trivial we really are, with problems, with everything … this is the beginning of the day … I feel like in a ring. … great!

observing the universe reassured me immensely. I stopped worrying about all the shit I’ve bought in my life. Only knowledge is important …
