When shooting on very old negatives, for which it is not clear how they were stored for decades, it is likely that their photographs will be terrible. It was no different when shooting on a scroll negative from 1976. Each of the photos is a small disaster. The signs from the paper cover strip shine on the negative. However, this does not mean that something cannot be made from such a photograph. The first shot is one such “disaster”. If you put a little work into such an image, a quite interesting photo image can be created, which I would not be ashamed to put in a frame.
