also taken yesterday on all three cameras. While with the 35mm cameras you just turn the device on its side and take photos, with the medium-format Pentacon everything is more complicated. On the focusing screen, you see everything upside down and for a long time you try to get the photographed object to some plane. When using medium-format film 135, when shooting with perforations, you also get rid of the possibility to rotate the image to the plane when developing photos. It’s probably the same when you tell a right-hander to write something with his left hand …

Another popular process I use for analog black and white photography is the “Pull process“. Just set the sensitivity of the exposure meter to lower than the actual film sensitivity. The exposure then runs a little longer. I will leave the negative in the developer only half the time. Even the cheapest negative creates a very fine grain and a whole range of halftones.
