Cumulonimbus…

Local thunderstorms swept through our valley today. I couldn’t do it and on the way home I stopped and took a picture of a typical Cumulonimbus anvil. The opening image shows Cumulus congestus. When I took my meteorology exams a long time ago, for my pilot’s license, I had to know every type of cloud cover. Paragliding under Cumulus congestus or Cumulonimbus is extremely dangerous. Such a cloud sucks you in and there is not much chance of getting down healthy.

Apparently, the seemingly endless series of storms where the sweltering heat was punctuated by bullets of ice had finally stopped. On many roofs, their owners are still working with the fire brigade, and the sound of glass shards and the sound of hammers can be heard in the surroundings. It seems that in order for our village to come to life a little, must a superstorm will come.

Ice storm…

it’s about an hour since the ice storm ended. the largest pieces of ice were about 8 cm. It broke our two cars, a greenhouse, a few windows at home … wow. But it’s still hot … Sorry for the poor quality of the recording, but the adrenaline shook a little with me. I’m going to have coffee😉 and another storm is coming ….
